We are currently seeking an experienced Class 2D+ Building Control Surveyor for an interim opportunity based in the North East. This is an initial 12-month contract, with a strong view to extension due to ongoing workload.

The Role
This is a hybrid role offering a balanced mix of site and home-based work:

4/5 days per week carrying out site inspections

*

Opportunity to move to full-time working depending on service needs

Key Responsibilities

*

Carrying out site inspections across a range of building types

*

Assessing compliance with Building Regulations

*

Plan checking and providing technical advice

*

Liaising with applicants, contractors, and internal stakeholders

*

Ensuring works meet statutory and safety standards

Requirements

*

Must be Class 2D+ registered with the BSR

*

Proven experience within Building Control

*

Strong knowledge of Building Regulations and legislation

*

Ability to work autonomously in an interim capacity

*

Full UK driving licence (due to site visits)
