Bright Selection is recruiting for an experienced Registered Manager to lead a well-established five-bed children’s residential home supporting young people with learning disabilities, autism, non-verbal communication needs and behaviours that may challenge.

The home is fully occupied, rated Good by Ofsted and has no current operational concerns. It benefits from a stable staff team, good staff retention and an experienced Deputy Manager who has worked at the service for approximately four years.
This is an opportunity to take over a settled home and continue building on its strong foundations while maintaining high standards of care, safeguarding and regulatory compliance.

The role will include:

* Leading the day-to-day operation of the home

* Maintaining the home’s Good Ofsted rating and driving continued improvement

* Ensuring robust safeguarding and regulatory compliance

* Leading, developing and supporting the established staff team

* Overseeing personalised care planning and positive outcomes for young people

* Managing budgets, rotas, recruitment and quality assurance

* Working closely with regional management and therapeutic services

Essential requirements:

* At least three years’ experience as a Registered Manager within children’s residential care

* A successful history of managing a service rated Good or Outstanding by Ofsted

* Experience supporting children with learning disabilities

* Strong safeguarding and regulatory knowledge

* Level 5 Leadership and Management or Level 3/4 Children and Young People’s Workforce/Residential Childcare

* A consistent and child-focused leadership approach

The role is predominantly Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm, although flexibility will be required according to the needs of the home. There is a shared local on-call rota, approximately one week in every six to eight weeks, with regional management support available.

Benefits include:

* Performance-related bonus of up to £16,000

* 25 days’ annual leave plus bank holidays

* Additional leave for your birthday, volunteering, health and wellbeing, and festive shopping

* Medicash healthcare benefits and therapeutic support

* Pension scheme

* Electric vehicle salary sacrifice scheme

* Blue Light Card

* Awards and recognition

* Training and career progression opportunities

This is an excellent opportunity to join a stable and successful service with an established team, strong regional support and opportunities for future progression.
