Registered Manager – Residential Service Location: Lancaster  Salary: Circa £50,000 Per Annum An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced CQC Registered Manager to lead a residential service located within a specialist college setting. This role offers the chance to oversee a dedicated service supporting individuals in a safe, person-centred environment. The successful candidate will hold overall operational responsibility for the service, ensuring it runs effectively, safely, and in full compliance with regulatory requirements. You will lead the delivery of high-quality care and support while managing and developing a committed staff team. The Role As Registered Manager, you will be responsible for the overall leadership and management of the residential provision. You will ensure the service provides safe, high-quality and person-centred support while maintaining compliance with all relevant regulatory and safeguarding standards. Working collaboratively with internal teams and external professionals, you will play a key role in developing the service and ensuring positive outcomes for the individuals supported. Key Responsibilities Service Delivery Oversee and support the delivery of high-quality, person-centred residential services Ensure the health, safety and wellbeing of both residents and staff Maintain compliance with CQC standards, safeguarding policies and regulatory requirements Staff Leadership & Supervision Recruit, lead and support Deputy Managers, Team Leaders and Senior Support Workers Provide coaching, supervision and performance management to maintain high standards of care Foster a positive and supportive team culture Financial & Operational Management Manage service budgets effectively Ensure efficient deployment of staffing resources Maintain operational oversight of the service IT & Quality Assurance Use internal systems to monitor staffing, incidents, compliance, training and service quality Ensure accurate reporting and continuous quality improvement External Collaboration Build strong relationships with commissioners, external professionals and partner agencies Support referrals, placements and ongoing service development Staff Development Oversee staff inductions, training and professional development Promote continuous learning and improvement across the team Maintain your own professional development to support service excellence About You The ideal candidate will be a confident and experienced leader with a strong background in residential services and regulatory compliance. You will be passionate about delivering outstanding care while supporting and developing your team to achieve the best outcomes for the people supported.
