Central Recruitment is working with a London-based charity dedicated to preventing homelessness and supporting individuals in rebuilding their lives. Our client is currently recruiting a Resettlement Worker to work in a 16-bed short stay service in the Camden area. The service supports individuals navigating multiple disadvantages, including substance misuse, mental and physical health challenges, and contact with the criminal justice system. * 37.5 hours per week * Monday - Friday * Shifts: 09:00 - 17:00 or 10:00 - 18:00 * Temporary: approx. 3 months * £17.88 per hour (£15.95 per hour, with £1.93 holiday pay) This is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful impact by providing vital support to vulnerable adults with complex needs. Key responsibilities: * Manage a caseload of 16 clients, delivering regular keywork sessions and person-centred support plans * Complete comprehensive needs assessments and risk management plans * Support clients to identify move on goals and develop tailored resettlement plans * Work with internal teams to build tenancy skills and secure move-on options * Develop relationships with housing providers to source safe, stable accommodation * Support clients to build life skills for independence and progression * Assist clients into employment, education or training opportunities * Contribute to income by minimising voids and rent arrears * Ensure repayment plans are agreed for clients moving on with arrears * Monitor rent accounts and address arrears proactively * Identify, report and follow up on safeguarding concerns What we’re looking for: * Experience working with complex needs, substance misuse and mental health * Knowledge of the Recovery Model and ability to motivate clients towards independence * Understanding of the private rented sector and sourcing affordable move-on options * Ability to create SMART resettlement plans based on thorough assessments * Knowledge of housing pathways and move-on processes * Understanding of safeguarding and conducting risk assessments * Knowledge of housing management in residential or move-on settings * Numeracy skills for budgeting, benefits calculations and rent monitoring Further requirements: In order to register with Central Recruitment Services for temporary agency work, candidates must meet the following criteria: * Current valid right to work in the UK * Minimum 12 months’ of paid experience in a front line social care role within the last 3 years* (unless recruitment criteria states otherwise) * A fully enhanced DBS either registered on the DBS update service or issued within the last 12 months, or willingness to apply for one through Central (at a cost of £60) * Employment or education history to cover the last 5 years which can be verified through the referencing process How to apply: If you feel that you fully meet the above outlined criteria for this role and would like apply for this post, please forward your CV for consideration. *Please note the outlined experience is the 'minimum' first stage criteria, and we will therefore be unable to consider your application unless you are able to demonstrate a relevant work history in line with this position
