Resident Civil Site Engineer - National Grid Person
Location: Cilfynydd 400kV Substation, Wales

Hours: 07:30 - 17:30 (45 Hours Per Week)
Rate: £400 Per Day
Contract Type: Temporary
IR35 Status: Inside IR35 - Limited Company Not Permitted
We are currently seeking multiple experienced Resident Engineers / Civil Site Engineers for a major National Grid 400kV substation project in Cilfynydd.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a long-term National Grid infrastructure project working within a live transmission environment.
Candidates must have previous National Grid substation experience and hold current NG Persons authorisation.
Key Responsibilities:
Setting out line and level using various surveying equipment
Assisting with constructability reviews alongside the civil site team
Raising Technical Queries (TQs)
Acting as Document Controller for all civil drawings
Assisting the site team with obtaining quotes and raising orders
Completing and managing As Built drawings
Supporting day-to-day site engineering activities on a live National Grid project
Essential Requirements:
Previous experience working on National Grid substation projects
Current NG Persons authorisation
Manual Handling certification
Strong setting out experience using surveying equipment
Knowledge of National Grid Technical Specifications (NGTS)
Ability to manage civil drawing control and technical documentation
Strong communication and organisational skills
