AR842 – Forklift Engineer Location: Warrington Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 + Overtime + Benefits Overview: First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a Forklift Engineer on behalf of one of our clients. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out routine maintenance and repairs to long/short term machines and customers owned equipment. Ensuring best practice with quality and professionalism are met at all times and to maintain customer satisfaction. Our client strongly encourages applications from ex-military personnel however, all candidates will be considered. Duties and Responsibilities: Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs to forklift trucks and associated equipment. Diagnose faults, report findings, and complete repairs in a timely and professional manner. Liaise with customers and internal teams regarding job progress and estimated completion times. Ensure all machines are left in a safe and fully operational condition following work. Perform routine maintenance checks, including fluid levels, hoses, brakes, and electrical systems. Submit accurate and detailed parts requisitions to ensure timely availability of required components. Work independently using initiative while adhering to all health and safety regulations. Keep management informed of ongoing work and any support required. Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and organised condition. Complete all service reports, job sheets, and documentation accurately and on time. Ensure all work is carried out in line with manufacturer standards and recommendations. Represent the company professionally when interacting with customers and while operating company vehicles. Skills and Qualifications: A strong mechanical engineering background is essential. Experience with forklift trucks, plant, agricultural, or similar equipment is highly desirable. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Strong problem-solving and fault-finding skills. Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written. Good time management and organisational skills. Customer-focused approach with a professional attitude. Full UK driving licence required. Location: Warrington Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 + Overtime + Benefits
