Salary: £13.50 - £13.75 per hour, £50 sleep in rate Plus Overtime (+£2 per hour)
Shift Pattern: 2 days on 4 days off plus sleep ins
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Children's Residential Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for making a positive difference in the lives of children and young people. As a Children's Residential Support Worker, you will be responsible for providing day-to-day care and support for children in a residential setting, ensuring their safety, well-being, and personal development.
Responsibilities:
* Create a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment for children and young people.
* Encourage and support children and young people in their education, social, and leisure activities.
* Work as part of a team to develop and implement care plans and risk assessments tailored to each child's needs.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date records
* Support children and young people with their daily routines
* Liaise with external agencies and professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for children and young people.
* Act as a positive role model, promoting independence, self-esteem, and resilience in children and young people.
* Participate in staff meetings, training, and development opportunities as required.
Requirements:
* Previous experience working with children and young people in a residential setting is desirable but not essential
* NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care for Children and Young People (or equivalent) or a willingness to complete
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
* A compassionate and caring nature.
* Flexible approach to working hours, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins on a rota basis.
* Ability to remain calm under pressure and in challenging situations.
* A driving license is essential for the role
