RF Design Team Lead

Role: RF Design Team Lead Location: Hertfodshire (3 days on-site) Salary: Circa £75,000 + bonus About the Role Our client is seeking an experienced Team Lead – RF Design to lead their RF and Antenna engineering team. As a Team Lead – RF Design, you will combine technical expertise with people leadership, managing work packages and guiding a high-performing team to deliver cutting-edge defence projects. Key Responsibilities * Lead the RF and Antenna design team as a Team Lead – RF Design * Oversee the design and delivery of RF work packages (30 MHz – 30 GHz) including LNA/HPAs, filters, oscillators, synthesizers, and modulators * Provide day-to-day technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to the team * Collaborate with cross-functional teams across electronics, software, mechanical, and production disciplines * Ensure RF designs meet manufacturing, testing, and production requirements * Plan and manage tasks to achieve On Time, On Cost, On Quality delivery * Maintain high standards in documentation and reporting Experience & Skills Required * Proven practical RF design experience at component and system level * Strong leadership and people management skills * Knowledge of digital, analogue, and power supply design * Experience with RF and antenna design tools (Microwave Office, HFSS) * Understanding of modern radio transceiver system architecture and design * Familiarity with manufacturing techniques and design for test Benefits * Bonus up to 21% of base salary * Pension up to 14% (employer + employee contribution) * Flexible working arrangements * Enhanced parental leave * On-site facilities including subsidised meals, free parking, and more
