Job title: Road Export Operations Location: Heywood, OL10 Salary: £28,000 - £34,000 DOE Hours: Monday to Friday 9:00 - 17:30 (Flexible) Road Export Operations Overview Our client is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join their team within Export Operations. This role involves managing freight quotations, coordinating international shipments, handling customs procedures, and maintaining strong relationships with partners and hauliers. Road Export Operations Responsibilities Quoting customers directly for freight costs based on their requirements Liaising with their Barcelona partner to deliver high levels of customer service Trailer load planning Arranging and completing UK export customs documentation Liaising with UK hauliers to arrange collections Building and developing strong relationships with customs authorities and overseas partners Supporting the French, German, Portugal, and wider Spain departments during busy periods, holidays, or sickness coverRoad Export Operations Requirements Experience in freight forwarding is advantageous but not essential Experience in export shipments Proficiency in IT systems, including Microsoft Excel Excellent data entry skills with strong attention to detail Strong negotiation skills with the ability to build relationships with partners, customers, and hauliers Ability to work effectively within a team environment while remaining self-motivated Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficientlyBenefits Salary increase of £1,000 after 3 months (subject to performance) Annual salary review Medical Policy Pension - company contribution of 3% Death in Service: 3x annual salary Holidays: 4 weeks, rising by 1 additional day per completed year (up to 30 days) Full training required WR Logistics are the #1 recruitment partner for all vacancies in the logistics industry.
