Sales Account Manager – Bury St Edmunds
£32,000 basic + quarterly bonus (OTE £40,000)
Full-time | Permanent | Office-based (Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm)

Select are please to be representing a market-leading client, who are seeking a high-energy, commercially-minded Sales Account Manager.

This isn't just a maintenance role; it’s a position designed for someone who thrives on winning new business just as much as they enjoy cementing long-term client partnerships.

The Role

Manage and grow a portfolio of existing accounts, ensuring high levels of customer service
Identify and develop new business opportunities within your territory
Build strong client relationships and act as a key point of contact
Prepare and deliver tailored proposals, pricing, and presentations
Meet and exceed sales targets while maintaining strong profit margins
Monitor market trends and competitor activity to support growth strategies
Maintain accurate records of sales activity, pipeline, and forecasts via CRM systems
Collaborate with internal teams to support customer needs and onboarding
Attend client meetings, site visits, and industry events where required
What We’re Looking For:

Proven Track Record: You have a background in account management or sales with a history of smashing targets.
Technical Edge: Experience in electrical, component-led, manufacturing, or technical sales is a major plus, but not essential.
Relationship Experts: You possess the natural ability to connect with people and turn conversations into contracts.
Commercial Acumen: You don’t just see clients; you see growth opportunities.
Master Negotiator: You are confident when it comes to presenting, negotiating, and closing complex deals.
Self-Starters: Highly organised and motivated to manage your own desk and workload effectively.
Tech Savvy: Proficient with CRM systems (Salesforce experience advantageous)
