Sales Trading Assistant Location: Beckton, London Salary: £26,000 - £28,000 per annum Recruiter: Pin Point Recruitment Pin Point Recruitment is proud to be working with a highly respected and long-established precious metals merchant based in Beckton. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious individual to join their Trading team as a Sales Trading Assistant, offering full training, long-term development, and the chance to build a career in a specialist and fast-moving industry. The Role – Trading Assistant / Trainee Trader * Reporting directly to the Head of Trading, you will play a key support role within the busy Trading department. Your responsibilities will include: * Monitoring and maintaining metal positions in real time * Assisting with daily reconciliation of trading P&L * Processing customer orders accurately and efficiently * Handling customer enquiries with professionalism and confidence * Engaging in retail sales of bullion products * Supporting the trading team with administrative and operational tasks * Learning the fundamentals of precious metal trading, with structured on-the-job training provided Requirements * Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent), ideally in Economics, Mathematics or a related field * Interest or knowledge in commodity trading and/or small-scale engineering/manufacturing (advantageous) * Ability to work independently, use initiative, and generate ideas * Strong communication and interpersonal skills * Experience with Sage products (Sage 200 in particular) would be an advantage * A proactive mindset and eagerness to learn—full training is provided Why Apply? * Full, structured training in a specialist and high-demand sector * Clear development and long-term progression opportunities * Work alongside highly skilled industry experts * Friendly, supportive and established team * Competitive starting salary of £26,000 * Based in Beckton, near London City Airport How to Apply If you're analytical, motivated, and eager to start a career in trading, we want to hear from you.
