Our client is a leading UK multi-metals stockholder supplying products across the UK and Ireland. They pride themselves on delivering high-quality materials to a diverse customer base. Join their dynamic warehouse team and play a vital role in their cutting and processing operations. Position: Saw Technician / Machine Operator Location: Yate Type: Temporary, with potential for permanent placement  Shifts Available: - Monday – Friday: 6:00 am – 2:30 pm  - Monday – Thursday: 12:00 pm – 10:30 pm  What You’ll Do: - Set up and operate saws to cut aluminium and stainless steel to specifications  - Read and interpret work orders, blueprints, and technical drawings  - Select appropriate saw blades and adjust cutting parameters for accuracy  - Monitor and ensure quality, safety, and efficiency during operations  - Perform routine maintenance, blade changes, and troubleshooting  - Inspect finished products for defects and compliance  - Maintain inventory of tools and consumables  - Follow safety procedures and keep a clean work environment  - Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines  What We’re Looking For: - Proven experience as a Saw Technician or similar role  - Skilled in operating and maintaining industrial saws for aluminium and stainless steel  - Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders  - Strong attention to detail and measurement accuracy  - Mechanical aptitude with troubleshooting skills  - Knowledge of safety protocols in an industrial setting  - Organisational skills and ability to work efficiently in a busy environment  - Flexibility to work rotating shifts including early mornings and late evenings  - Physical stamina for lifting heavy materials and operating machinery  - Experience operating Counterbalance and Reach Fork Lift Trucks is a plus  What We Offer: - Competitive hourly rate (£13 - £13.50 depending on experience)  - Opportunities for career growth and skills development  - Free on-site parking  - Supportive, inclusive team environment  If you’re motivated, detail-oriented, and looking to join a company that values craftsmanship and teamwork, we want to hear from you!
