Scheduler / Project Coordinator (Passive Fire) – Junior
Location: Wolverhampton (Office-Based – Own Transport Required)
Salary: £27,000 – £30,000 per annum (DOE) — equivalent to approximately £13.85 – £15.38 per hour during the initial 3-month temporary period
Contract: Temp to Perm (3 Months Temporary, with Permanent Position to Follow)

The Opportunity

This is a great opportunity to join a growing passive fire contractor in a key scheduling and coordination role supporting projects across the West Midlands. The business delivers fire door and passive fire protection works, with a strong pipeline across social housing programmes.

This role starts on a 3-month temporary basis, paid at an hourly rate equivalent to the advertised annual salary, before transitioning to a permanent position for the right candidate. This offers a clear pathway for progression within a structured and supportive environment, making it ideal for someone early in their coordination career who is looking to build long-term experience within passive fire or construction coordination, with the opportunity to develop their team management skills further.

The Role

We are seeking a Scheduler / Project Coordinator to support the delivery of fire door and passive fire projects. This is a full-time, fully office-based role with no working from home, where you will be responsible for coordinating works, liaising with clients and residents, and supporting project delivery through effective planning and organisation. A key part of the role involves managing and coordinating site teams remotely, so previous experience running or coordinating teams is essential.

You will play a key role in ensuring works are scheduled efficiently, teams are coordinated effectively, and projects are completed in line with programme requirements.

Key Responsibilities

* Schedule works and coordinate operatives and site teams across multiple projects

* Manage and coordinate site teams remotely, ensuring works are progressing to programme

* Liaise with clients and residents to arrange access within social housing environments

* Coordinate with manufacturers and suppliers to organise deliveries to site

* Support project delivery through effective planning, organisation and communication

* Review site information, photos and reports to assist with completion documentation

* Maintain accurate records and support reporting processes

* Work closely with internal teams to ensure smooth delivery of works

What We're Looking For

* Experience in a scheduling, coordination or administrative role within construction or a related industry — essential

* Previous experience managing or coordinating site teams or operatives — essential

* Strong organisational and communication skills

* Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment

* Good IT skills and strong attention to detail

* Experience within passive fire, fire doors or similar works — desirable

* Experience working within social housing or similar environments — desirable

Additional Information

* Fully office-based role, five days per week — no working from home

* Own vehicle required to access office location

* 3-month temporary period paid at an hourly rate, transitioning to a permanent salaried position
