School Premises Assistant - Primary School Location: Lambeth, South London Pay: Competitive daily rate Hours: 08:00am - 16:00pm (Monday to Friday) Start: ASAP Contract: Full-time, term time only Remedy Education are currently recruiting for a reliable and hardworking School Premises Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Lambeth. This is a key role within the school, ensuring the site is safe, secure, clean and well-maintained to support both staff and pupils. The Role As a Premises Assistant, you will be responsible for: Opening and closing the school site daily Carrying out basic maintenance and repairs around the school Ensuring the school grounds are safe, clean and secure at all times Setting up and clearing away rooms for lessons, events and assemblies Conducting regular health & safety checks and site inspections Supporting with deliveries and moving equipment when required Assisting with general caretaking duties across the school The Ideal Candidate We are looking for someone who: Has previous experience in a caretaker or premises role (school experience desirable) Is practical, hands-on and able to carry out basic maintenance tasks Has a good understanding of health and safety procedures Is reliable, punctual and takes pride in their work Can work both independently and as part of a team Has a proactive and flexible approach This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive school environment and play a vital role in the day-to-day running of the site.
