Job Title: School Site Manager
Location: Alvaston
Pay: £17 - £19.50 per hour
Contract: Full Time - Long Term Sickness Cover
Hours: Monday - Friday, 7:00am-10:30am, 2:30pm-5:30pm (split shift)
Start Date: ASAP

About the Role
We are currently recruiting for an experienced School Site Manager to join a school in Alvaston, Derby, providing long-term sickness cover. This is a key role within the school, responsible for ensuring the site is safe, secure, and well maintained for students, staff, and visitors.

The successful candidate will oversee the day-to-day management of the school premises and support the smooth running of the site.

Key Responsibilities

Opening and securing the school site each day

Managing the maintenance and upkeep of the school buildings and grounds

Carrying out general repairs and maintenance tasks

Ensuring the site complies with health and safety regulations

Conducting routine safety checks and maintaining site records

Liaising with contractors and overseeing works on site

Supporting with deliveries, furniture moves, and room setups

Ensuring the school environment remains clean, safe, and fully operational

What We're Looking For

Previous site manager, caretaker, or facilities management experience, ideally within a school environment

IOSH qualification preferred

Relevant health and safety training and knowledge of compliance procedures

Strong practical maintenance and DIY skills

Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively

A proactive and reliable approach

An enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one
