About the Role
Remedy Education are working in partnership with a specialist SEN school in Enfield who are looking to appoint a committed and adaptable Science Teacher for a September start.
This is a long-term position with the opportunity to move into a permanent role for the right candidate.
You will be teaching Science across Biology, Chemistry and Physics, delivering lessons that are fully adapted to meet a wide range of learning needs. The focus is on making Science engaging, practical, and accessible for students who may have struggled in mainstream education.
The school is looking for someone who can bring energy to the subject, remain calm and consistent, and build strong relationships with learners who need structure and support to succeed.
What You'll Be Doing
Planning and delivering engaging, differentiated Science lessons for SEN learners
Adapting content to meet a range of abilities and learning needs
Making Science practical, visual, and accessible
Tracking and supporting student progress in line with SEN targets
Working closely with SEN staff, therapists, and pastoral teams
Supporting exam preparation where appropriate
Creating a structured and supportive classroom environment
What We're Looking For
QTS or QTLS (essential)
PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification
Strong subject knowledge in Science
SEN experience is beneficial but not essential
Calm, patient and confident classroom presence
Strong behaviour management and communication skills
ECTs/NQTs are welcome to apply
