About The Role:
Grade A Recruitment is working in partnership with a mainstream secondary school in Peterborough to recruit a passionate and dedicated Science Teacher. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced teacher to inspire and motivate students, delivering engaging practical and theoretical lessons across KS3–KS4.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan and deliver engaging and practical science lessons across KS3–KS4.
* Support students in developing scientific knowledge and practical skills through experiments and demonstrations.
* Ensure safe and effective use of laboratory equipment, maintaining health and safety standards.
* Prepare and maintain laboratory resources to support high-quality teaching.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including the safe storage and handling of chemicals and equipment.
* Work collaboratively with colleagues to contribute to a supportive and successful science department.
The Ideal Candidate Will:
* Be a qualified teacher with QTS (or equivalent).
* Be confident in planning and delivering practical science lessons.
* Have experience using laboratory equipment safely and effectively.
* Hold relevant health and safety certificates (or be willing to obtain them).
* Be passionate about teaching and able to inspire students to achieve their potential.
* Be a team player with excellent communication skills.
