Colmore Education is currently recruiting for a Science Technician to join a welcoming mainstream secondary school in Central Birmingham.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an organised and practical individual to support the school's Science Department, helping teachers deliver engaging and effective lessons across Biology, Chemistry and Physics.
🔬 The Role:
*
Prepare and set up equipment and materials for practical science lessons.
*
Support teachers with demonstrations and experiments across the Science Department.
*
Maintain and organise laboratory equipment, chemicals and resources.
*
Ensure laboratories are clean, safe and ready for lessons.
*
Follow health and safety procedures, including the safe storage and disposal of chemicals.
*
Monitor stock levels and order additional supplies when required.
✅ The Ideal Candidate:
*
Previous experience working in a science laboratory or as a Science Technician is desirable.
*
Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
*
A practical, hands-on approach with a willingness to learn.
*
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
*
A good understanding of laboratory health and safety procedures.
*
A genuine interest in supporting teaching and learning within a school environment.
