Security Operations Manager
Key Responsibilities
● Strategic Leadership: Develop and oversee the implementation of a robust security framework encompassing physical, digital, and personnel security.
● Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all security measures comply with MHRA guidelines, Home Office regulations, and other relevant legislation, especially concerning controlled substances.
● Risk Management: Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and implement corrective actions.
● Policy Development: Establish and maintain security policies and procedures, ensuring they are up-to-date and effectively communicated across the organization.
● Training & Awareness: Lead security training programs to foster a culture of security awareness among employees.
● Incident Response: Develop and manage incident response plans, ensuring swift and effective action in the event of security breaches or emergencies.
● Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal departments, law enforcement, and regulatory bodies to ensure cohesive security operations.
● Technology Oversight: Evaluate and implement security technologies, including surveillance systems, access controls, and cybersecurity tools.
● Reporting: Provide regular reports to senior management on security status, incidents, and improvements.
Qualifications & Experience
● Education: Bachelor’s degree in Security Management, Criminal Justice, Information Security, or a related field. Advanced certifications (e.g., CPP, PSP, CISSP) are advantageous.
● Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years in a senior security role, preferably within the pharmaceutical or regulated industries. Experience with CBPM or controlled substances is highly desirable.
● Knowledge: In-depth understanding of UK security regulations, MHRA guidelines, and Home Office requirements related to controlled substances.
● Skills: Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills. Proficiency in security technologies and risk assessment methodologies. Working Conditions
● Location: Based at our Perivale/Ruislip headquarters. Travel: Occasional travel may be required for audits, training, or stakeholder meetings across all our hubs.
