Security Relief Officer

Location: Romford, RM1 3 Pay Rate: £14.46 per hour Contract Type: Relief / Flexible Hours SIA Licence Required: Yes (Dual Licence – CCTV & Door Supervisor) About the Role We are looking for SIA-licensed Security Relief Officers to join our team. This is a dual licence role requiring both CCTV and Door Supervisor licences. You will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of the shopping centre, staff, and visitors. Hours & Shifts * Mixed shifts, rota Monday to Sunday * Days and nights * Average hours per week: 0 – 40 (flexible) Key Duties * Access control and maintaining accurate access/egress records * CCTV control room monitoring * Maintenance of logbooks and registers * Notifying relevant personnel when visitors arrive * Tracking visitor appointments and departures * Answering phone calls and responding appropriately * Dealing with visitor requests and assisting as needed * Receiving and passing on mail deliveries * Assisting visitors leaving the premises (e.g., arranging taxis) * Responding to alarms and investigating disturbances * Monitoring and authorizing entrance/departure of employees and visitors to prevent theft * Contacting police or fire services in emergencies * Checking alarm circuits and ensuring alarm systems are functioning * Monitoring and adjusting building systems such as air conditioning and heating Requirements * Must hold a dual SIA licence (CCTV & Door Supervisor) * Ability to work flexible shifts including days, nights, and weekends * Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records * Excellent communication skills and a professional attitude If you are a reliable and professional security officer looking for a part-time weekday role with a reputable global brand, we would love to hear from you
