The Role - SEMH Teaching Assistant

Seeking a resilient and proactive SEMH Teaching Assistant to support pupils aged 11-16 within a PRU setting. You will work closely with teaching and pastoral teams to provide targeted 1:1 and small-group support, helping pupils manage behaviour, regulate emotions and re-engage with learning. The role involves implementing behaviour support plans, using de-escalation techniques, promoting positive behaviour and maintaining a structured and consistent learning environment.

This pupil referral unit is located in the London Borough of Lewisham and is within walking distance of a nearby London Overground station. The provision supports pupils who have been excluded or are at risk of exclusion, offering personalised learning, strong behaviour support and clear reintegration pathways.
