Semiconductor Packaging Technical Manager
Litron Lasers is one of the world’s leading solid-state laser manufacturers. Our lasers find widespread use in a multitude of scientific and industrial applications worldwide. The company is looking to recruit a Semiconductor Packaging Technical Manager with a hands-on attitude. You would develop our laser diode packaging capabilities and provide leadership to the specialist and growing semiconductor packaging team. This is a Rugby site-based position. You would be joining our dynamic team of engineers, scientists and technicians within R&D, developing cutting edge laser diode packages with world-leading performance and reliability. Responsibilities You will combine project management, team management and technical ownership of the products and manufacturing process. A key part of this role is the development and implementation of new packaging solutions and optimised manufacturing processes. * Team and project management. * Engineering new high-powered semiconductor laser diode products. * Overseeing the expansion of our production facilities. * Improving manufacturing processes. * Developing quality control processes. * Developing processes and systems for production record keeping. * Supporting production with packaging issues. Skills and competencies * Strong project management skills. * Leadership and team management skills. * Academic background with experience in understanding technical and scientific papers. * In-depth knowledge of semiconductor packaging processes and materials. * Familiarity with quality control principles. * Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. * Effective communication and interpersonal skills. * Competence in Python, Excel. * A flexible mind and a willingness to learn.
