Nurture Education is currently recruiting for a confident and experienced Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to support a Year 6 pupil with SEN and behavioural needs in a supportive primary school in Brent.
This is a rewarding opportunity for a skilled LSA who has strong behaviour management experience and is confident working 1:1 with pupils who require additional structure, consistency, and emotional support.
About the Role
As a Year 6 SEN / Behaviour LSA, you will work closely with the class teacher and SENCo to provide targeted support to a pupil with additional needs. The successful LSA will play a key role in helping the student stay engaged, regulate behaviour, and access learning in the classroom.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide dedicated 1:1 support as a Learning Support Assistant (LSA)
* Support a Year 6 pupil with SEN and behavioural needs
* Implement behaviour strategies and support emotional regulation
* Help the pupil access the curriculum and stay on task
* Build a positive and trusting relationship with the student
* Work closely with teaching staff and SEN professionals
* Monitor and report on progress and behaviour
What We’re Looking For
* Essential: Previous experience working as a LSA or supporting children with SEN and behaviour needs
* Strong behaviour management skills
* Calm, resilient, and consistent approach
* Ability to build rapport and maintain professional boundaries
* Confident working 1:1 in a classroom setting
This role is experience-based, so applicants must have prior relevant school or SEN support experience.
