SEN KS3/KS4 Teacher

Location: Worthing, West Sussex
Start Date: September 2026 (or sooner for the right candidate)
Contract: Full-Time, Permanent
Salary: MPS 1-6 + SEN Allowance (dependent on experience)

Masterclass Education is working in partnership with a well-regarded SEN all-through school in Worthing to recruit a dedicated and compassionate KS3/KS4 SEN Teacher to join their team.

The school caters for pupils aged 4-19 with a range of special educational needs, including:

* Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)

* Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD)

* Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD)

* Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN)

* Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs

* Complex and associated learning needs

The Role

You will be responsible for delivering engaging and accessible lessons to a KS3 or KS4 class, adapting learning to meet a wide range of needs and abilities. Working closely with Teaching Assistants, therapists, and pastoral teams, you will create a positive and inclusive learning environment where every pupil can thrive.

Responsibilities

* Plan and deliver differentiated lessons that meet individual learning needs.

* Develop and implement personalised learning strategies.

* Foster positive relationships that support pupil engagement and wellbeing.

* Monitor progress and contribute to EHCP reviews and target setting.

* Work collaboratively with support staff, families, and external professionals.

* Promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation strategies.

* Contribute to the wider life of the school community.

The Ideal Candidate

* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS).

* Experience teaching KS3 and/or KS4 pupils.

* Previous SEN, SEMH, or alternative provision experience is desirable but not essential.

* Strong classroom management and relationship-building skills.

* A flexible, patient, and resilient approach.

* Passionate about inclusive education and supporting pupils with additional needs.

* ECTs with relevant SEN placement experience are encouraged to apply.
