SEN Learning Support Assistant

1:1 SEN Learning Support Assistant We’re looking for a dedicated and experienced 1:1 Learning Support Assistant to support 16–19-year-old learners with challenging behaviour in an educational setting. This is a temporary agency role with an immediate start. Role Details: • Location: Bexley • Pay: £15.50 per hour • Hours: 32.5 per week (6.5 hours/day, lunch unpaid) • Contract: Temporary until 03/07/2026 Key Responsibilities: • Provide 1:1 support to learners with behaviour that challenges, helping them access learning activities effectively • Assist learners with organisation, focus, and engagement in lessons • Support the implementation of behaviour management strategies and encourage positive behaviour • Liaise with teaching and support staff to monitor learner progress and report concerns • Help maintain a safe, structured, and inclusive learning environment • Assist learners with any additional needs, including personal care if required Requirements: • Experience supporting challenging behaviour within an educational environment • Enhanced Child & Adult DBS required • Patient, empathetic, and committed to supporting learners’ development • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with staff If you’re passionate about making a difference and have the experience to support learners effectively, apply now
