SEN Learning Support Assistant

SEN Learning Support Assistant £95-105 per day Immediate Start Qualiteach Yorkshire are looking for an experienced full time SEN Learning Support Assistant for a specialist school in Leeds (LS10) for young adults with moderate and complex learning needs. The setting is a large SEN school with multiple sites who cater for a mix of ages, and are looking for someone with a range of experience to join their team within the college unit ASAP. The Role: * Working with young adults on a 1:1 and group basis who have a variety of needs, tailoring learning to suit them * Working within a team and helping to build a comfortable environment for all students and staff * Following care plans, EHCP’s, Pupil Passports and other relevant documents * Being comfortable with personal care is advantageous * Supporting a fantastic curriculum that teaches the young adults real life skills, as well as subject specific knowledge What you will need: * Experience of working with children and/or young adults who have complex needs * A willingness to ‘jump in’ and help where necessary * Being comfortable with taking pupils for outings, supporting their independence and being a positive influence over this * Be able to assist the young adults with their emotional literacy, helping them to co and self regulate What we offer: When you work with Qualiteach, you will have access to a range of expertise and advice as well as benefits.
