Contract: Temp to Perm
Start date: ASAP
Here at Fox Morris group, we are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Learning mentor to support students with special educational needs in a PRU (Pupil referral unit) setting. This is a rewarding role for someone who is passionate about helping young people achieve and overcome barriers to reach their full potential.
Key responsibilities
* Provide 1:1 and small group support
* Support students with academic progress, emotional wellbeing and behaviour
* Work closely with teaching staff, SENCOs, parents and external agencies
* Help students engage positively with learning and school life
* Implement and support individual education plans (IEPs) and strategies
Essential Requirements
* Enhanced DBS on the update service (mandatory)
* Driving licence and car (Mandatory)
* Proven experience working with SEN children
* Excellent communication and relationship building skills
* A patient, empathetic and proactive approach
