Full-Time SEN Learning Support Assistant - Secondary Schools - Lambeth We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Special Educational Needs (SEN) Learning Support Assistant to join welcoming and supportive secondary schools across Lambeth on a full-time (5 days per week) basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic individual who is passionate about supporting young people with additional needs and helping them achieve their full potential in a structured and nurturing learning environment. The Role As an SEN Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and SEN staff to provide targeted support to students with a range of additional learning needs. You will play a key role in helping students engage with the curriculum, build confidence, and make meaningful academic and personal progress. Key Responsibilities Provide one-to-one and small group support for students with Special Educational Needs Assist students in accessing the secondary school curriculum across various subjects Support the development of students' academic, social, and emotional skills Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral staff Implement learning strategies and behaviour support plans where required Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment Requirements Previous experience working as an SEN Learning Support Assistant or in a similar educational support role Strong subject knowledge and confidence supporting secondary-level learning A degree is preferred, though not essential for candidates with strong relevant experience Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting students with additional needs Ability to work proactively and adapt to different classroom environments The School The schools we work with in Lambeth are known for their welcoming and supportive environments, where staff are valued and collaboration is encouraged.
