Primary SEMH Teacher 📍 Location: Corby 📅 Start Date: ASAP 📄 Contract: Full-Time Make a Real Impact in Primary SEMH Education! We are recruiting a passionate and resilient Primary SEMH Teacher to join a welcoming and inclusive school in Corby. This is a fantastic opportunity to support children in KS1-KS2 who present with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs, attachment challenges, behavioural barriers, and additional learning needs.Your role will be vital in helping pupils build emotional regulation, confidence, stability and a love for learning in a safe, nurturing setting. Why This Role Matters In this specialist primary environment, you will: Create structured, supportive and emotionally informed lessons Use trauma‑informed and relationship‑based approaches Work closely with skilled support staff to provide consistent, safe routines Help pupils develop emotional resilience, coping strategies and positive learning habits Build strong, trusting relationships that support long‑term progress Your creativity, patience and consistency will help shape an environment where pupils feel understood, secure and ready to learn. Your Key Responsibilities Plan and deliver tailored lessons that meet the individual needs of primary-aged pupils with SEMH needs Implement strategies such as positive reinforcement, restorative approaches and de-escalation techniques Work collaboratively with support staff, pastoral teams, therapists and families Create a calm, structured and nurturing classroom environment Track pupil progress and contribute to EHCP reviews, reports and multi-agency meetings Support pupils in managing emotions, transitions and behaviour throughout the school day What We're Looking For QTS (Primary or Secondary) with experience teaching children with SEMH needs Strong understanding of trauma-informed practice and emotional wellbeing A nurturing, patient and resilient approach to behaviour Adaptability, creativity and a positive attitude towards challenging situation Excellent communication and teamwork skillsEnhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one) What You'll Receive Competitive salary dependent on experience A supportive and collaborative staff team Opportunities to develop your skills across different age groups Ongoing guidance from experienced consultants and school leaders ✅ Ready to make a meaningful difference?
