SEN Teaching Assistant (Epilepsy Trained) - SEMH Secondary School Location: Tower Hamlets, East London Pay: £100 - £115 per day Start: ASAP Contract: Full-time, term time only Remedy Education are currently recruiting for an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant with epilepsy training to join a specialist SEMH secondary school in Tower Hamlets. This is a rewarding role supporting students with social, emotional and mental health needs, alongside medical needs, in a structured and supportive environment. The Role As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will: Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with SEMH needs Support pupils with epilepsy, ensuring safety and appropriate response to seizures Assist with behaviour management and de-escalation strategies Support students in accessing the curriculum and engaging in lessons Work closely with teachers and pastoral teams to support individual learning plans Promote a safe, calm and structured learning environment Support students' emotional regulation and social development Requirements The ideal candidate will have: Experience working in SEMH or challenging behaviour settings Epilepsy training or experience supporting pupils with epilepsy Strong behaviour management and resilience A calm, patient and proactive approach Excellent communication and teamwork skills A genuine passion for supporting young people with additional needs This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in a specialist setting where your skills will be highly valued.
