SEN Learning Support Assistant (LSA) – BSL Level 3 Required UES1 South London (SM5) Start Date: ASAP Full-Time | Long-Term We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Learning Support Assistant (LSA) with British Sign Language (BSL) Level 3 to join a specialist college setting in South London on a long-term, full-time basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to support deaf and hearing-impaired learners within a highly supportive and inclusive educational environment. About the College This specialist college provides education and tailored support to young people aged 16+ with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). The provision supports learners with a range of needs including: * Hearing impairment * Autism (ASC) * Moderate to severe learning difficulties * Complex needs The college has a strong focus on: * Inclusive and student-centred learning * Developing independence and life skills * Supporting employability pathways * Achieving EHCP outcomes The Role As an SEN LSA, you will: * Provide 1:1 and small group support to deaf/hearing-impaired students * Use BSL Level 3 to facilitate communication and access to learning * Support students in academic and vocational sessions * Assist in working towards EHCP targets * Promote independence, engagement, and confidence * Work collaboratively with teaching and support staff Essential Requirements – Please Read Carefully BSL Level 3 (minimum) – Mandatory Child AND Adult DBS on the Update Service – Mandatory Experience supporting learners with SEN Strong communication and teamwork skills Patient, proactive, and adaptable approach Applications will only be considered if all essential requirements are met.
