Contract: Permanent, full-time, term time Start: September 2026 (earlier start considered for the right candidate)

THE ROLE

An exceptional permanent opportunity has arisen for a SEN Teacher to join an established all-age special school in Uxbridge supporting pupils aged 7 to 19 with severe and complex learning needs.

The cohort includes pupils with SLD, PMLD, autism, sensory processing differences and complex communication needs. The school offers day, residential and short-break provision and is run by a religious order with a strong Christian ethos.

This is a class teacher role within a well-resourced, structured environment where Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) and Thrive are embedded across the whole school. You will lead a class with TA support, deliver a highly differentiated curriculum aligned to individual EHCP outcomes, contribute to Annual Reviews, and work closely with a strong multi-disciplinary team including Speech and Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy and Educational Psychology.

ABOUT YOU

* PGCE (or equivalent) and UK QTS

* Hands-on experience teaching pupils with severe and complex learning needs in a specialist setting

* Concrete experience of behaviour support strategies within a complex SEN environment

* Familiarity with EHCP processes and statutory documentation

* Specialist tools such as Team Teach, PBS, Makaton, PECS and sensory regulation strategies (desirable — training available for the right candidate)

* Commitment to inclusive practice and the school's Christian ethos (staff of any faith or none are welcomed; all staff are asked to uphold the school's values)

WHAT'S ON OFFER

* Permanent contract with a well-established special school

* Outer London salary plus full SEN Allowance — up to approximately £61,651 for experienced candidates

* Membership of a West London Teaching School Alliance

* Strong commitment to staff CPD and career development

* Established whole-school PBS and Thrive frameworks

* Multi-disciplinary team support (SaLT, OT, Physio, Ed Psych)
