SEN Teacher – Flexible / Temporary Contract Skelmersdale, Lancashire Start date: ASAP Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a specialist secondary SEN provision in West Lancashire to recruit an SEN Teacher on a temporary and flexible contract, starting as soon as possible. This role is ideal for Early Career Teachers (ECTs) looking to gain valuable SEN experience or experienced teachers seeking a more flexible position with reduced responsibilities. The School The provision supports students aged 11–19 with a wide range of additional learning needs. All students have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) and benefit from a highly supportive, specialist learning environment. The school caters for pupils with needs including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), speech, language and communication needs, and moderate to severe learning difficulties, with a strong focus on personalised learning and preparing students for adulthood. Staff work closely within a multidisciplinary team to deliver engaging, accessible learning that supports pupils both academically and socially. The Role This is a flexible teaching opportunity where you will: Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons tailored to individual learning needs Support pupils with a range of SEN including ASD and communication needs Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and support staff Create a positive, structured learning environment where pupils can thrive Focus on high-quality teaching without the extensive additional responsibilities often associated with permanent posts The timetable and subject focus can be adapted depending on experience.
