Are you an SEN Teacher looking to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and young people across Northumberland? We are seeking skilled and motivated SEN Teachers to support pupils with a range of special educational needs, helping them to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

You will work with pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups, delivering tailored learning programmes designed to meet individual needs, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and complex learning difficulties.

The Opportunity

Work within SEN schools, specialist provisions, and alternative education settings

Deliver personalised learning programmes to individuals and small groups

Support academic progress, emotional wellbeing, and social development

Key Responsibilities

Plan and deliver differentiated lessons tailored to individual needs

Adapt teaching strategies to support a variety of SEN needs

Monitor progress and provide clear feedback linked to EHCP targets

Work collaboratively with support staff, SENCOs, and external professionals

Uphold safeguarding and child protection responsibilities at all times

What We're Looking For

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

Experience working with pupils with special educational needs

Strong understanding of inclusive and SEN-specific teaching strategies

Ability to manage behaviour positively and support emotional regulation
