SEN Teaching Assistant
We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a mainstream primary school in Tower Hamlets, for an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a pupil with challenging behaviour and ASD. The ideal candidate will be patient, resilient, and skilled at supporting pupils with complex needs. While the role is in a mainstream setting, experience in a Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) would be highly beneficial. Key responsibilities: Providing 1:1 support to a pupil with challenging behaviour and ASD Implementing strategies to promote positive behaviour, independence, and learning Assisting classroom staff with differentiated learning and resources Observing, monitoring, and recording pupil progress Working collaboratively with teachers, parents, and external professionals We are looking for someone who: Has experience supporting children with ASD and challenging behaviour Is resilient, patient, and adaptable Has PRU experience (desirable) Works well in a team and communicates effectively Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children Application process: Please submit your CV directly to Phoebe Bone.
