SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) Specialist SEN Secondary School – Wandsworth Full Time | Start Date: April 2026 Working Hours: 8:00am – 4:00pm Pay Rate: £95 – £105 per day (via anzuk Education) anzuk Education are proud to be partnering with a welcoming and well‑resourced SEN secondary school in Wandsworth, seeking a compassionate and resilient SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team full‑time from April. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting young people with a range of additional needs—primarily mild SEN profiles with a strong emphasis on SEMH (Social, Emotional & Mental Health) needs. About the Role The successful SEN TA will: * Support students aged 11–16 with mild SEN and SEMH needs * Work 1:1 and in small groups to develop social, emotional, and academic skills * Implement behaviour‑regulation strategies and de‑escalation techniques * Assist teachers with lesson delivery, differentiated learning and classroom management * Build positive, trusting relationships with students to encourage engagement * Contribute to a safe, structured, and supportive learning environment Requirements * Experience supporting young people with SEN and/or SEMH needs (school or youth setting) * Strong communication, patience, and emotional resilience * Ability to remain calm under pressure and use positive behaviour‑support techniques * A proactive, caring and student‑centred approach * Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply through anzuk) Why choose anzuk Education? * Competitive daily pay: £95 – £105 per day * Ongoing support from a specialist consultant who understands the SEN sector * Access to CPD, training and development opportunities * A straightforward, friendly onboarding process
