SEN Teaching Assistant (Profound SEN & Personal Care) Location: LE5, Leicester Rate: £95 - £105 per day Contract Type: Full-time, 1:1 Support & Group Work Recruiter: Aspire People Aspire People is seeking a compassionate and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to support children with profound special educational needs (SEN) in a fantastic school in the LE5 area of Leicester. This role will involve working closely with children who require both academic support and personal care, and you will play a key role in supporting their development and wellbeing. Key Responsibilities: Providing 1:1 and small group support to students with profound SEN Assisting with personal care needs, including mobility, toileting, and feeding Supporting students in accessing the curriculum, tailoring approaches to individual needs Helping with classroom management and fostering a safe and inclusive learning environment Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to plan and implement effective interventions Providing emotional support and promoting the wellbeing of students throughout the day Ensuring that students are safe, comfortable, and supported during all school activities What We Are Looking For: Proven experience working with children with profound SEN (essential) Experience providing personal care to students (essential) Understanding of a range of SEN, including physical disabilities, complex needs, and sensory processing disorders A patient, caring, and empathetic attitude Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff A team player who is flexible and adaptable Ideally, a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable) Why Choose Aspire People?
