Do you have experience supporting children with complex needs? Are you able to commute to Lewisham? If so, this SEN Teaching Assistant role could be the ideal opportunity for you. The Role – SEN Teaching Assistant As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be providing 1:1 support for a KS2 pupil who suffers from ASD. Your role will involve supporting the pupil both academically and emotionally, helping them stay engaged in lessons and manage their behaviour positively. The ideal candidate will be calm, patient and encouraging, creating a structured and supportive environment where the pupil can build confidence and make progress. You will also work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement strategies that support the pupil’s individual learning and development. Previous experience supporting children with SEN is highly desirable.
