SEN Teaching Assistant - Norwich - September Start

Prospero Teaching are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a warm, supportive primary school in Norwich, starting September. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about supporting pupils with special educational needs and looking to develop their skills within a nurturing school environment that offers strong mentorship and ongoing professional development.

The school is looking for a committed practitioner with effective behaviour management skills, strong communication abilities, and proven experience supporting children with SEN across the primary age range.

📌 CONTRACT DETAILS

Location - Norwich

Position - SEN Teaching Assistant

Type of work - Classroom & 1:1 SEN support

Start date - September

Duration - Ongoing / Long‑term

Full time/part‑time - Full time

Rate of pay - £90-£120 per day (depending on experience)

Hours - 08:30am - 15:45pm

📚 EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS

SEN experience is essential (ASD, ADHD, SEMH, speech & language, or other additional needs)

Experience supporting children in a UK primary school (placements accepted)

Relevant TA or SEN‑specific training desirable

Up‑to‑date Safeguarding training issued within the last year (desirable)

✔️ TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

Hold Right to Work in the UK

Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one

Provide two professional child‑related references
