SEND Teaching Assistant - Full-Time Role (September 2026 Start)
Location: Nottingham City Centre (Hockley), NG1
Pay: £105-£120 per day (dependent on experience)
Contract: Full-time, long-term
Hours: Monday-Friday, term-time only
Start Date: September 2026

Long Term Futures are working with a supportive primary school in Nottingham City Centre (Hockley) to appoint a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant. This is a rewarding opportunity to support pupils with additional needs and make a meaningful difference in a nurturing school environment.

The role will involve working closely with pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis, supporting their academic, social, and emotional development.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide tailored support to pupils with SEND (e.g. ASD, ADHD, speech & language needs)
Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons
Implement individual learning and behaviour strategies
Support pupils' emotional regulation and social development
Track progress and provide feedback to teaching staff
Help create a safe, inclusive and structured classroom
Ideal Candidate Profile

Previous experience supporting children with SEND
Background in a primary school or similar setting
Patient, proactive and adaptable approach
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply) Why Apply?
