SEN Teaching Assistant – Chesterfield (S43) Start Date: After Easter | Potential Permanent Opportunity PK Education Sheffield are currently recruiting for a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to work within a welcoming primary school in the S43 area of Chesterfield. This rewarding role involves supporting two Year 4 pupils who are currently working at a Year 1 academic level. The successful candidate will provide tailored support to help bridge learning gaps, build confidence, and encourage progress both academically and socially. The Role: Provide 1:1 and small group support to two Year 4 pupils Deliver differentiated activities suited to a Year 1 level Support literacy, numeracy and phonics development Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO Promote a positive, nurturing learning environment The Ideal Candidate Will: Have experience working with primary-aged children, ideally within SEN Demonstrate patience, empathy and strong behaviour management skills Be confident adapting learning materials to meet individual needs Hold a relevant TA qualification (desirable but not essential) Have an enhanced DBS on the update service (or be willing to apply for one) What’s On Offer: Competitive rates of pay Ongoing support from the dedicated team at PK Education Sheffield Opportunity for the role to become permanent A supportive and inclusive school environment This position is to begin after the Easter break and offers the opportunity to make a genuine difference in pupils’ educational journeys.
