New Chapter Tuition is seeking experienced and dedicated SEN / SEND Tutors to deliver 1:1 personalised tuition to children and young people aged 5–25 across Kent.
This is an excellent opportunity for teachers, tutors, teaching assistants (TAs), HLTAs, learning mentors, and education professionals with experience supporting learners with Autism (ASC), SEMH, ADHD, and additional needs.
You will provide nurture-based, trauma-informed support in community settings such as family homes, libraries, and hubs.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver 1:1 SEN / SEND tuition
* Support students with Autism, SEMH, ADHD, and complex needs
* Plan and deliver personalised learning programmes
* Adapt sessions in line with EHCPs
* Use trauma-informed and nurture-based approaches
* Build positive relationships to support engagement
* Monitor progress and complete session reports
* Work collaboratively with parents, schools, and professionals
Requirements
* Experience supporting SEN / SEND learners (essential)
* Knowledge of the UK National Curriculum
* Background in education (Teacher, Tutor, TA, HLTA, Mentor) preferred
* Patient, calm, and resilient approach
* Strong communication and organisational skills
* Ability to work independently in community settings
* Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
* Right to work in the UK
