About the role:

EdStaff are looking for an experienced SEND Teacher for a long-term position at a Warrington secondary school. The role is set to begin in Summer 2 and continue from September on an on-going basis. This a fantastic opportunity to join a school that creates an inclusive environment for all learners and is dedicated to ensuring each reach their own potential. You will be joining a rewarding and friendly working environment where you will make a real difference in the lives of pupils with additional learning needs.

Within the role, you will cater for learners with a diverse range of additional needs, such as autism, communication difficulties and ADHD.

Key responsibilities:

* Adapt teaching to suit a range of needs

* Monitor and track progress, adapting to support individual learning plans

* Build strong relationships with learners and families/carers

* Work closely with SENDCo and other education and healthcare professionals

* Adhere to school policies and procedures, including safeguarding

Essential requirements:

* Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

* Experience working with, or a strong interest in, supporting pupils with SEN

* Confident supporting young people with challenging behaviour and/or reluctant learners

* Ability to engage pupils with SEND

* Flexible and adaptable

* Reliable and punctual with a professional attitude

* Enhanced DBS on the update service or willing to obtain one
