About the Role:
We are looking for a compassionate and skilled PMLD Teacher to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong understanding of working with pupils who have severe physical and learning disabilities, complex needs, and sensory impairments.

You will play a vital role in delivering personalised, meaningful learning experiences that focus on communication, sensory engagement, and overall wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver highly individualised lessons tailored to each pupil's needs
Support students with complex physical and learning disabilities, including sensory and medical needs
Work closely with teaching assistants, therapists, and external professionals
Use a range of communication methods (e.g. PECS, Makaton, sensory cues)
Promote a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment
Focus on small-step progress, celebrating all achievements
Ensure pupils' care, wellbeing, and dignity are always prioritisedAbout You:

Experience working with children or young people with PMLD or complex needs is essential
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is desirable but not essential
Strong understanding of sensory learning and alternative communication strategies
Confident supporting pupils with physical disabilities and complex medical needs
Patient, nurturing, and resilient approach
Passionate about inclusive education and making a difference
