Senior Accountant – Accountancy Practice – Norwich If you are an experienced practice accountant who enjoys genuine client relationships rather than simply processing year ends, this opportunity offers variety, autonomy and the chance to make a real impact within a growing Norwich-based firm. This well-regarded independent practice supports a broad mix of owner-managed businesses and private clients across Norfolk. Combining traditional advisory values with modern cloud accounting systems, the firm is continuing to expand and is now looking to appoint a confident Senior Accountant to strengthen the team. The Opportunity This is a full-time, office-based role in Norwich where you will take ownership of your own portfolio. You will be trusted to manage compliance work efficiently while also identifying opportunities to provide added-value advice. * Managing a portfolio of limited companies, sole traders and partnerships * Preparing and reviewing statutory accounts and management accounts * Completing Corporation Tax and Self-Assessment returns * Overseeing VAT, CIS and payroll-related queries where required * Supporting clients with cloud accounting software including QuickBooks and Xero * Reviewing bookkeeping work and ensuring accurate financial reporting * Acting as a key point of contact, offering practical and proactive guidance What We’re Looking For * Strong recent experience within UK accountancy practice * Confident preparing accounts and tax returns with minimal supervision * Working knowledge of cloud-based systems such as Xero and/or QuickBooks * Up-to-date understanding of UK tax compliance * Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple deadlines * AAT qualified or studying/qualified ACCA, ACA or CIMA – though practical experience is equally valued * Able to work on-site in Norwich Why Apply?
