Senior Bid Writer – Construction & Public Sector Location: Hybrid Salary: £45,000 – £50,000 + bonus Sector: Housing, Construction, Public Sector About the Role We are looking for an experienced Senior Bid Writer to lead the preparation and coordination of high-quality tender submissions across housing and construction projects. Working within the Public Partnerships team, you will play a key role in converting opportunities into secured work by producing clear, compelling, and compliant bids for local authorities, councils, and housing associations. Key Responsibilities Bid Preparation Lead the writing of tender submissions and proposals Interpret client requirements and evaluation criteria Produce clear, structured, and compelling responses Ensure all submissions are aligned to client and framework requirements Bid Coordination Coordinate input from internal stakeholders (construction, commercial, finance) Manage timelines, milestones, and submission deadlines Maintain accurate documentation and version control Content Development Develop and maintain a bid content library Translate technical information into clear, client-friendly responses Ensure consistency in tone, messaging, and quality Submission & Compliance Prepare final bid documents and formatting Ensure full compliance with procurement and submission requirements Manage portal uploads and framework submissions Opportunity Support Work closely with the Business Development Manager on live opportunities Contribute to bid strategy and positioning Support mobilisation documentation where required About You Proven experience in bid writing within construction, housing, or public sector Strong understanding of public-sector procurement and tender processes Experience working on council/local authority submissions Excellent written communication and attention to detail Highly organised with strong deadline management skills Able to manage multiple bids and stakeholders simultaneously Desirable Experience with JCT contracts or construction delivery models Background in housing, regeneration, or public-sector frameworks Why Join?
