Senior Building Surveyor

We are currently working on behalf of a local authority client to recruit an experienced Senior Building Surveyor to support the delivery of a high-quality, responsive repairs service across their housing portfolio. This is a senior role where you will provide technical leadership, oversee surveyor performance, and ensure repair works are delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
Working closely with contractors, building safety teams and asset colleagues, you will play a key role in maintaining compliance, improving service delivery and ensuring residents’ homes are well maintained.
Key responsibilities include:

Managing and supporting the performance and development of surveyors
Providing technical expertise on complex repair and building issues
Overseeing contractor performance to ensure works meet required standards, specifications and timescales
Carrying out regular site inspections and maintaining accurate digital records and reports
Ensuring repairs are progressed in a timely manner to support tenant satisfaction targets
Working collaboratively with Building Safety and Compliance teams to maintain regulatory standards
Liaising with Planned Works teams to inform longer-term investment and asset management decisions
Deputising for the Head of Repairs Partnering when requiredThis role would suit a qualified and experienced building surveyor with strong knowledge of residential repairs, contractor management and housing compliance, who is confident leading others and driving service improvements.
