Senior Buyer

Vital are recruiting on behalf of a leading construction and engineering company for a key role in their project delivery team. The company operates across major infrastructure and building projects and is known for its strong safety culture and commitment to innovation. Key Responsibilities: * Manage end-to-end procurement of materials/plant * Develop bid-specific sourcing strategies with tender teams * Negotiate supplier rates and maintain long-term agreements * Maximize rebates through framework compliance * Mentor junior procurement staff and resolve supplier disputes * Analyse market trends to identify cost-saving innovations Requirements: * 7+ years in a procurement function (Minimum 3 years within the construction industry) * Expertise in COINS ERP and Microsoft Excel * Degree in Procurement/ Supply Chain/ Quantity Surveying or Construction Management * CIPS qualification (or actively pursuing) * Proven record of cost savings and value creation Additional Information: * Role may involve occasional travel to project sites or supplier meetings. * Hybrid working arrangements may be considered following probationary period.
