Job Title: Senior Care Assistant Location: Leicester Pay Rate: £13.00 – £15.00 per hour (depending on experience) Hours: 12-hour shifts Paid Breaks About the Role Claire at Amber Mace is looking for a compassionate and experienced Senior Care Assistant to join the dedicated team in a friendly nursing home in Leicester, specialising in residential dementia care. This is a hands-on role where you’ll lead by example and help deliver high-quality, person-centred care to our residents. Key Responsibilities Providing excellent personal care and emotional support to residents Supporting residents living with dementia in a calm, respectful manner Leading shifts and supporting junior care staff Administering medication (where trained and competent) Completing care plans and daily documentation accurately Communicating effectively with residents, families, and the wider care team What we’re Looking For Previous experience as a Senior Care Assistant (essential) Experience working in a nursing home and/or dementia care setting NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or working towards) preferred A caring, reliable, and professional approach Good leadership and communication skills What We Offer Competitive hourly rate of £13.00 – £15.00 Paid breaks 12-hour shifts for better work-life balance Supportive management and team environment Ongoing training and development opportunities For more information please call Claire at Amber Mace on (phone number removed) or email your cv to (url removed)
