Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Salary: Up to £43,000 + Quarterly Bonus + Overtime
Shift Pattern - Double Day Shift (Rotating)
Early Shift
Monday - Thursday: 6:00 am - 2:00 pm
Friday: 6:00 am - 11:30 am
Late Shift
Monday - Thursday: 2:00 pm - 10:00 pm
Friday: 11:30 am - 5:00 pm

THOMAS Professional are currently recruiting for an experienced Senior CNC Machinist to join a well-established precision engineering manufacturer based in Stroud, working on a Double Day Shift pattern.

Weekdays: 1.5x basic hourly rate
Saturday: 1.5x basic hourly rate
Sunday: 2x basic hourly rate
Role Responsibilities
As a Senior CNC Machinist, your responsibilities will include:
Setting and operating CNC machining centres to produce high-precision components
Optimising machining processes to maximise efficiency and quality
Making programme offsets and tooling adjustments where required
Reading and interpreting complex engineering drawings and technical specifications
Carrying out first-off, in-process and final inspection checks
Troubleshooting machining issues and supporting continuous improvement activities
Supporting and mentoring junior machinists when required
Maintaining high standards of quality, housekeeping and health & safety
Working closely with Team Leaders, Production and Quality teams to achieve production targets
The Person
The successful Senior CNC Machinist will ideally have:
Proven experience as a CNC Machinist within a precision engineering environment
Strong CNC setting and operating experience
Excellent understanding of engineering drawings and geometric tolerances
Experience carrying out quality inspections using measuring equipment
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and support less experienced team members
A proactive approach with a commitment to continuous improvement
